My first official story here on DA! Hope you all like it!

Twilight was in the library, working as usual. She was working on a spell that was supposed to help pegasi with broken wings fly or unicorns that had briefly lost their magic preform it.  

Twilight thought she was alone, but obviously, she was not.

"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii!" exclaimed Pinkie Pie as she and Rainbow Dash jumped out from under Twilight's table.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" Twilight yelled when Pinkie knocked her over.

"Oh, sorry Twilight," said Pinkie, when she realized why Twilight was lying on the floor, dizzy-eyed.

"Uh, Twi, you ok?" Rainbow Dash said, also seeing Twilight on the floor.

"Yes, I'm fine," said Twilight, getting up from the floor. "Why are you two here anyway?"

"No important reason," said Dash. "Just wanted to see what you were doing."

"So you decided to ask me but hiding under my table and scaring me? For pony's sake, I almost had a heart attack!" Twilight screamed.

"Jeez, Twi, we already said we were sorry." Rainbow Dash said.

Before Twilight could reply, there was a knocking on the door.

"Is everypony alright?" said one voice.

"Yes, we thought we heard somepony scream," said another.

Twilight knew by the way they both talked that it was Applejack and Rarity. She went over to answer the door.

"Yes, Applejack, Rarity, we're fine. Oh, and Fluttershy? What a coincidence. Rarity, you've temporarily lost your magic, right? And Fluttershy, you've hurt your wing? Great! I've been working on a spell that could help you use your magic, Rarity, and use your wings, Fluttershy!" Twilight said excitedly.

"Oh, Twilight, that's great! Is it done?" said Fluttershy.

"Yes, it's done. Fluttershy, Rarity, go stand over by that bookcase." said Twilight as she went over to get the container the potion was in.

While Fluttershy and Rarity walked over to the bookcase, Rainbow Dash asked, "So, do they drink it or something?"

"No, they don't, Dash. I or some other pony that can do magic would use their magic to lift the potion out of the container, and turn it into mist. They would draw the large cloud of mist over the ponies, and then they should be able to fly or use their magic." Twilight described.

"Ok, Twilight, we're ready.' said Rarity.

"Ok, you two, stand still," said Twilight.

Twilight began to use her magic to lift some of the potion out of the container, turning it into a mist that covered most of the ponies' sight ranges. Since none of them could see, Twilight just faltered here magic and dropped the mist. There was a bright flash of light, then the mist disappeared.

"Woah, what happened?" said Rainbow Dash, dizzily. "Wait, I wasn't standing here before."

She looked across the room. "And how am I looking at myself, why am I pink colored?"
She looked at her tail and mane. "Why do I have your mane Pink-"

She was cut off as Twilight let out a loud gasp. "We might have switched bodies! Spike, get the big mirror!"

"Woah, what happened to you all?" said Spike, as he walked into the room.

"Spike, just get the mirror!" said Twilight.

Spike rolled the mirror into the room. All the ponies stood in front of it, and all gasped in suprise.

Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie had been switched. Pinkie's body had Rainbow's cyan coat and rainbow mane and tail. Her cutie mark colors had been switched to the three colors on Rainbow's lightning strike. Her eyes were Dash's magenta.
Rainbow Dash's body was Pinkie's light pink coat color, and her mane was Pinkie's darker pink color and various other shades of pink. Her cutie mark was a still white cloud, and the lightning strikes were colored to Pinkie Pie's blue and yellow balloons. Her eyes were Pinkie's light blue color.

Fluttershy and Twilight had been switched. Twilight's body had Fluttershy's yellow coat, and the main pink color of her mane. Where her normal pink and purple streaks were, there were teal streaks. Her cutie mark's main star was a bright teal, and the spokes and sparkles were a lighter teal. She had Fluttershy's teal eyes.
Fluttershy's body had Twilight's purple coat, indigo mane, and purple and pink streaks. Her cutie mark's butterflies had pink wings and purple bodies. She had Twilight's dark purple eye color.

And lastly, Applejack and Rarity had been switched. Rarity's body had Applejack's orange coat, and her blonde mane. Her eye shadow had been switched to red, and she got Applejack's freckles. Her cutie mark wad two red diamonds and one green one. Her eyes were Applejack's green color.
Applejack's body had turned Rarity's whitish-gray color, with her purple mane. The hairties in her mane were now blue, and she had her eyeshadow. She still had her hat, though. Her cutie mark was darkish blue apples, with darker blue stems. she had Rarity's dark blue eyes.

"W-what in tarnation..." said Applejack in Rarity's body, stammering.

"Ok, everypony, don't panic," said Twilight. "I have an idea. How about this: Applejack and Rarity, you should stay with each other. Dash and Pinkie, you two also stay with each other. Fluttershy, you stay with me. I'll be working on a cure, and I need all the ponies to stay with the one they were switched with, so when I finish the cure, everypony will be together. Start to settle into your temporary homes, and don't bother me. I have some work to do."

So all the other ponies went to get their things to bring to their new homes.
